The Story

Kanga Banga

Barry, an elderly man, opens the doors of his dark house and is exposed to the beauty of his well-nourished Australian flower garden. While flipping through his paper, he realises that he is not alone. There is a pesky kangaroo, and it’s munching up his flowers. He flaps his arms wildly at the kangaroo, to no avail. He throws the newspaper at the kangaroo which misses and gets eaten by the kangaroo. The loss of his newspaper infuriates Barry further. He hobbles over to the kangaroo pushing and pulling to get it out of his garden, yet again he doesn’t succeed. He chuckles as he dawns upon a brilliant idea. He bolts off towards his tool shed and rides out of it on his lawn mower with the intention of driving towards the kangaroo to chase it away from his garden. The kangaroo jumps out of the way after a butterfly just in time, this causes the old man to drive over his prized garden and crash into the fence. While sitting in defeat Barry see’s the kangaroo hop away following the butterfly, he is relieved and believes he has won. He hears a crunch and looks down to see a rare flower squished under his foot. Realisation hits and he notices the damage he has caused; his famous garden is completely destroyed.
